QAP for HVAC
Advanced Energy’s Quality-Assured Professional (QAP) for HVAC program was created in 2012 at the request of HVAC contractors, builders, energy raters and other stakeholders from across the U.S. These stakeholders asked that Advanced Energy become an HVAC Quality Installation Oversight (H-QUITO) organization to provide an impartial and market growth-oriented approach to the training and oversight requirements implemented by ENERGY STAR Version 3.
Through this program, HVAC contractors large and small are credentialed by our organization to perform HVAC installations on ENERGY STAR Version 3 residential units. In addition to supporting HVAC contractors working on ENERGY STAR homes, our program also benefits builders, home energy raters, utilities and other organizations that provide rebates and other funding for ENERGY STAR homes in their territories. Without credentialed HVAC contractors, ENERGY STAR homes couldn’t be built!
