Adrian Schaller RECOGNITION License, North Carolina General Contractor ACCOMPLISHMENTS Before joining Advanced Energy in 2008, Adrian Schaller worked as a residential and renovation general contractor. He was operations manager at a residential building company where he pioneered and implemented ENERGY STAR® building practices and received the ENERGY STAR label for homes built under his leadership. Schaller also owned a residential renovation company that incorporated ENERGY STAR building practices. As a project manager for the Applied Building Science team, one of Schaller’s responsibilities is to manage the Community Energy Campaign, a program that works with North Carolina’s Electric Membership Cooperatives to retrofit existing homes in the state. With the help of trained building performance contractors, Schaller facilitates the retrofitting process for existing homes within a qualified customer base. The repairs made by the contractors help generate savings for homeowners on their utility bills and reduce electrical generation by power plants. Schaller is also using his residential building background to support the company’s transportation sector in the facilitation and installation of charging stations for plug-in hybrid vehicles into the residential and multi-family market. He works with residential builders, government agencies, utilities and manufacturers to ensure a smooth implementation system for this new and innovative technology. MY PHILOSOPHY ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY Energy efficiency has to become a way of life in order to reverse any damage done to the environment. The changes that people make should be simple so that they become habits. One person cannot change the world, but collectively we all have the responsibility to conserve when it comes to our natural resources. We should all be concerned with the type of world we are leaving for the next generations. EDUCATION CONTACT INFORMATION |
