Keith Aldridge Managing Director, Applied Building Science Team
Aldridge joined Advanced Energy in 1984 to oversee a series of projects addressing energy in public housing and subsequently worked on programs addressing energy-efficient home building, energy and community development, and weatherization. He assisted with the development and operation of Advanced Energy’s Duct Diagnostics and Repair School and the Commercial Buildings program. He also served on the design teams for Tucson Electric Power’s Energy and Comfort Guarantee Program, Louisiana-Pacific’s Engineered for Life and Masco’s Environments for Living. In the early 1990s, in a volunteer capacity, he organized a community-based non-profit housing development corporation in Orange County, North Carolina, and then served as Board Chair/President for five years. Prior to coming to Advanced Energy, he served for seven years as Staff Coordinator of the Inter-Faith Council for Social Service where he directed the activities of three staff and over 300 volunteers engaged in emergency financial assistance, advocacy, program development, and community development. It was in this capacity that he first began to work on housing and energy issues, including developing a volunteer-based weatherization program and constructing a 24-unit housing for the elderly project, funded through the HUD 202 program.
