Matt Keeler ACCOMPLISHMENTS Matt Keeler joined Advanced Energy’s Applied Building Science team in 2008 as a building science specialist. He develops training materials that ensure builder success in retrofit and energy efficiency programs including the InUnison product line, Success with ENERGY STAR® and Northwest ENERGY STAR New Homes. He also develops strategic marketing tools for verifiers in the Northwest ENERGY STAR New Homes project. He serves as the point of contact for raters under Advanced Energy’s role as an ENERGY STAR provider. Keeler was instrumental in the development of the ENERGY STAR Marketing Assessment program, gathering valuable ground information from HERS raters used to understand how to best stimulate the marketplace in a particular area. Before joining Advanced Energy, Keeler was director of operations at Top Notch Buildings and Truck Accessories. He was responsible for $175,000 of the company’s annual sales. In addition to sales, he managed commercial fleet accounts and established several new order management techniques. MY PHILOSOPHY ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY Society is constantly waiting for the next technology or policy that will fix the energy crisis. What we should realize is that the most attainable fix to this crisis, is simply to use what we already have more efficiently. Energy efficiency is the first step toward a sustainable society, and the need to be more energy efficient will continue to grow, regardless of new technological developments.
