Shaun Hassel
RECOGNITION Member, Cascadia Region Green Building Council ACCOMPLISHMENTS Shaun Hassel works with Advanced Energy’s Applied Building Science team as a project manager, trainer and researcher. His primary responsibility includes managing the training and outreach efforts of the Northwest ENERGY STAR® new homes program, where he works to ensure that builders, trades and building performance professionals have access to the resources needed to build and sell Northwest ENERGY STAR homes. In addition he oversees the Houston Energy Efficiency Study, a research effort analyzing the actual energy use of more than 50,000 high performance homes. Since joining Advanced Energy in 2005, Hassel has also played a key role in the Healthy Lives Study and the North Carolina ENERGY STAR New Homes Program. Previously, he served as an AmeriCorps member and construction assistant with Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County, N.C., building numerous high-performance homes while managing construction projects and volunteers.
