Course Description

This course teaches whole-house diagnostics and how to find permanent solutions to bedeviling callback issues such as hot and cold rooms, moisture issues, truss uplift and HVAC performance.

You will learn the various systems that comprise the home and how they relate to the overall performance of the home. You also will learn basic skills and protocols to quickly assess problems and identify the root cause to find the appropriate trade to correct and eliminate the problem from occurring again. A great benefit for taking this course is going home with tools to use as a way to mitigate problems.

Scratching the surface of what we cover in our Forensic Series, this course also includes these topics:

• Basic building science principles
• Performance testing of HVAC system and thermal envelope
• Moisture diagnostics and mitigation
• Methods of ensuring combustion safety

Field work is available upon request.
