Dan Welch, P.E., C.E.M. Process Engineering Consultant
With more than 25 years of industrial energy efficiency and process improvement experience, Welch brings a wide range of experience to his work. He has been with Advanced Energy since 1994, focusing on energy intensive manufacturing processes with clients such as Owens Corning, Allied Signal, and Milliken & Company. He is a recognized expert in infrared and radio frequency heating applications in industry. He conducts training in these technology areas for Advanced Energy and co-authored Industrial Applications of Infrared Heating. Welch’s work with Advanced Energy includes evaluating manufacturing problems or opportunities, developing solutions, proving them out to plant personnel, and seeing the projects through to completion.
Prior to joining Advanced Energy, Welch spent three years with Union Oil of California working with advanced oil recovery technologies. He then joined the Institute of Textile Technology and spent seven years working on energy efficiency projects with large textile manufacturers throughout the Southeast. Moving on to A&C Consultants for five years, Welch worked with clients such as Pratt & Whitney, National Semiconductor and Champion Paper to improve their energy and process efficiencies.
Welch
is a licensed professional engineer in mechanical engineering
and received his master’s of engineering degree at N.C. State
University with emphasis on chemical engineering and industrial
