ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Shawn Fitzpatrick joined Advanced Energy’s Industrial and Commercial Solutions team in 2009 as an energy engineer, supporting the energy efficiency sector. He works with industrial and commercial clients, performing facility energy assessments and managing wind and solar energy projects.

Before joining Advanced Energy, Fitzpatrick worked with Southern Energy Management, performing engineering design on commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar water heating projects. He was the technical resource for residential and commercial solar installation teams. Fitzpatrick also worked for the North Carolina Solar Center for ten years. There he designed and managed wind power and solar PV systems as well as the data acquisition systems for wind and solar energy research. He managed renewable energy research contracts and wrote numerous research proposals.

MY PHILOSOPHY ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Energy efficiency is the most sustainable and cost-effective way to reduce our carbon footprint. Once we have committed ourselves to using energy smarter in our homes and workplaces, we can take the next step of utilizing renewable and alternative energy generation technologies.
