We accomplish this by providing training, consultation, applied research and program development to improve the health, safety, durability, comfort, affordability and environmental responsibility of houses and small commercial buildings. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Building Science Consultant/Trainer to support our programs within both the new construction and residential retrofit sectors. Consultant/Trainer – New Construction and Residential Retrofit As a Consultant/Trainer, the successful candidate will provide technical expertise, training and consulting services to our clients in the building industry. Responsibilities include:
Qualifications include five years experience working in the building industry, with demonstrated experience delivering both classroom and field-based training. Bachelor Degree in Building Science, Construction Management or a relevant field required. Individuals with a background in home rehabilitation, retrofit or weatherization preferred. Knowledge of basic building science diagnostic processes and procedures a must. Consulting and problem solving skills are essential, as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
