Workshop Participants Brush Up On HVAC Load Calculation SkillsNovember 14, 2000
"The class brought a different level of understanding to what I already knew," says Gary Ash, director of residential services for Triangle Automated Controls of Raleigh, a midsize company with about 20 to 25 employees. "This was a refresher course for me which I took to maintain my certification as part of my being a Progress Energy Quality Heat Pump Dealer ," says Ash. "But, it has other benefits for me and my company as well-I can better explain to customers why things need to be done a certain way, and I can pass the training on to other company employees. The trainer was highly knowledgeable and able to teach and impart that knowledge effectively."
"I can better design ductwork and size units for customers," says Chester Salter, an installer for Sexton's Refrigeration of Williston. "I have something to back my recommendations with. The instructor was great, and the course was intense, but not overwhelming." "This course was a great way to get back up to speed on the ACCA training manuals and to prep on the software," says Keith Marion, a sales rep for Logan Heating & Air of Winston-Salem, a company of about 235, with 40 percent of its business in the residential market.
