News Foodservice Professionals Can Use on the Menu at ACTC in 2001February 27, 2001A variety of useful and informative workshops for foodservice professionals of all kinds is being offered at Duke Power's Advanced Cooking Technology Center in Charlotte in 2001. Interested foodservice industry personnel are highly encouraged to register now for their choice of these exciting events. Advanced Energy provides management, technical, and marketing support for all kinds of activity at the ACTC, including both these workshops and comparative testing of various brands or types of foodservice equipment there on a case by case basis. Advanced Energy's Carl Wilkins helped kick off this year's calendar of events by speaking at a workshop titled Basic Electricity for Foodservice Professionals , targeted to vendors, brokers, and distributors of foodservice equipment. Attendees learned about basic principles of electricity, including Ohm's Law, standard delivery voltage, and power calculations. The year's remaining workshops focus on a range of foodservice related topics, from staying competitive, to crisis management, to experiencing the latest and greatest in foodservice technology.
