Sarah Chumbley ACCOMPLISHMENTS Sarah Chumbley began her career at Advanced Energy in August 2009 as a communications specialist supporting the company’s Applied Building Science team. Chumbley works closely with the team and marketing department to implement effective communications strategies that increase team visibility and impact in the marketplace. Chumbley serves as the media contact for the team and manages the development of sales and marketing collateral. She also supports team business development managing RFPs and proposals. Before joining Advanced Energy, Chumbley worked as an intern for Goodyear in Danville, Va. where she was responsible for the publication of the company’s weekly newsletter. She also coordinated corporate events and assisted with crisis communications during the 2006 strike. While in school, Chumbley also implemented public relations campaigns as an intern for SURGE Network and Orange County Animal Services. MY PHILOSOPHY ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY I really enjoy working for a company where “going green” is not a trend, but a life commitment. Even simple changes like switching to efficient light bulbs and unplugging appliances can do a lot to conserve energy and reduce green house gasses. It’s rewarding to know that the work we do at Advanced Energy is having a positive impact on the environment and our future.
