ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Prior to his role at Advanced Energy, Mark Gentry served as a purchasing and account manager for the Briggs-Shaffner Company in Winston Salem, N.C.  Gentry also served with Duke Energy for 15 years as a commercial and industrial marketing and sales account manager, acting as the single point of contact for assigned customers.  He also worked as an engineering associate, designing electrical installations for facilities.

Today, Gentry’s primary responsibilities include building positive, responsive relationships with utilities and commercial and industrial customers wanting to investigate innovative ways to reduce energy and improve the environment.  He identifies and evaluates ways to help reduce energy, cost and carbon footprint by investigating customer needs and concerns.

MY PHILOSOPHY ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Energy operating costs continue to rise, making it difficult for industrial and commercial facilities to compete in certain markets.  Energy efficiency has to be evaluated in order to help facilities lower cost, enhance performance and become more competitive.

EDUCATION

Associate degree of applied science, Mechanical Drafting and Design, Forsyth Technical Institute
