Repair Shop Selection

Quality is important in any process, and especially in motor repair. If you are buying motor repair you should have a specification that your motor repair vendor can meet. If you are selling motor repair, you should have a documented quality process to meet the increasing energy demands of your customers.

Advanced Energy offers a quality assurance program for motor repair called Proven Efficiency Verification (PEV) that mutually benefits motor repair purchasers and providers.

In the first year, PEV includes a thorough onsite evaluation of the motor service center's ability to maintain efficiency during the repair process. Once completed, before and after repair testing is conducted to validate the motor service center's capabilities. Additionally, there are annual renewal requirements to be met each year in order to maintain certification.

Current PEV certified motor service centers include:

  • Stewart’s Electric Motor Works, Inc. of Orlando, FL is the most recent company to achieve Proven Efficiency Verification accreditation for motor repair. “Helping our customers WIN is our primary concern, and we are committed to using technological advancements in our industry that benefit them and the energy needs of mankind,” says Mike Stewart, President, Stewart’s Electric Motor Works. “By achieving accreditation through Advanced Energy’s PEV program, ensures our customers that we recognize the challenges they face in today’s energy consuming world. And that our team is dedicated to providing proven methods and processes in repairing electric motors that do in fact help our customers at WINNING while reducing and minimizing their energy footprint." ”
  • Tristate Armature of Memphis, TN has held a valid certification since 2012. "We do everything within our control to serve our customers’ emergency requirements,” says Dan McNeill, Vice President, Repair Operations, Tristate Armature. “We want to be able to reduce their downtime and increase their productivity.
