Advanced Energy's recommended motor validation stream includes: Inspection build / failure analysis We disassemble and compare motors, noting manufacturing defects or design differences. This process is also applied to failed motors to determine root cause. After the inspection build analysis is complete, we subject the motors to dynamometer testing to confirm the motor meets nameplate specifications. Endurance testing We design tests based on your equipment's operating characteristics and the duty cycle the motor will experience under the warranty period. Up to 10 samples can be subjected to cycle and load testing simultaneously. If a motor fails we provide an analysis of that failure. Quality control In order to minimize manufacturing variation and maintain quality with any supplier, inspection is needed.
