Motor and drive manufacturers have been clients of Advanced Energy’s motors and drives team since the beginning in 1991, and over the years our services have evolved to meet demand. Early on we focused on Energy Policy and Conservation ACT of 1992 [EPCA] compliance. Helping manufacturers negotiate the efficiency regulations, develop test plans, perform compliance testing and submit the proper paperwork to U.S. Department of Energy [DOE] to verify compliance to these new efficiency regulations. Today we still work with some of these clients to ensure their engineering models that predict motor efficiency are accurate on an annual basis. We also assist with the newest motor efficiency regulations under the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA).
