Facilities Our laboratory is the only independent lab in the nation accredited by NVLAP (through the National Institute of Standards and Technology) for motor efficiency testing. This accreditation enables us to provide the motor efficiency testing required of manufacturers by the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA) of 1992. We also provide assistance with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) compliance and laboratory accreditation to motor manufacturers worldwide. Our capabilities and accreditation makes us the independent resource for motor and drive testing. Since 1991, we have performed more than 2,000 motor tests and have provided testing to more than 20 motor manufacturers. Motor Testing Capabilities (pdf)
