About us
Transportation Initiatives is committed to creating positive social, environmental and economic benefits by accelerating the transition to electrified transportation.

Through initiatives such as the Plug-in Hybrid Electric School Bus Project, Advanced Energy has established itself as a leader in the electric vehicle industry and demonstrated its ability to achieve market transformation.

Advanced Energy is a third-party nonprofit organization with the only independent NVLAP accredited testing facility in North America. We successfully bridge the gap between research and development and the marketplace. Our experience and extensive network within the industry, as well as our team of expert engineers can help your organization achieve its transportation and technology goals.

We offer a variety of services to clients such as private industry, electric utilities and government agencies. Some of our services include:

  1. Technology Verification and Demonstration
  2. Performance Analysis
  3. Decision Support
  4. Education and Outreach

Transportation Initiatives is pioneering electric vehicle technologies through projects such as NC Get Ready! and the Renault- Nissan alliance. Visit our initiatives page for more information about our current programs.
