At DaimlerChrysler, he implemented numerous testing initiatives and protocols for benchmarking vehicle emissions, fuel economy and performance. Additional automotive includes two years developing and building a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) as a part of General Motors’ Saturn HEV Challenge.
As director of transportation initiatives, Barghout helps Advanced Energy meet its goal of revolutionizing the transportation industry. He is responsible for a variety of programs and manages independent assessments and validations for new technologies. He works with industry partners to form coalitions and programs, overseeing market research and critical analysis.
MY PHILOSOPHY ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY
It is becoming increasingly important for each of us to contribute to environmental and societal solutions in any way we can. As individuals, we can make a difference by making better decisions such as turning off unused lights or buying energy-efficient products. It is critical for corporations to identify innovative solutions that have positive environmental, societal and economic benefits. At Advanced Energy, I am focused on finding and implementing innovative solutions to transportation to help usher in the next generation of clean vehicles.
