Josh Lawrence RECOGNITION Commissioner, North Carolina State University (NCSU), Sustainability Committee ACCOMPLISHMENTS Josh Lawrence joined Advanced Energy in 2007 as a co-op engineer, supporting the Industrial and Commercial Solutions team. He gained experience in industrial and commercial facility assessments and process heating implementation through initiatives such as the K-12 Benchmarking Program. Lawrence recently joined the transportation sector of the team, assisting the effort to electrify transportation through plug-in vehicle analysis, the Hybrid-Electric School Bus Project and new technology assessment. MY PHILOSOPHY ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY It is imperative for our society to take responsibility for its actions and their subsequent impact on the Earth. We have the ability to greatly reduce our carbon footprint and reliance on foreign oil by implementing the electric grid into the transportation market. At Advanced Energy, I have the opportunity to be on the forefront of transportation electrification, making vehicles cleaner and less detrimental to the environment.
