NC GreenPower, Advanced Energy’s renewable energy subsidiary, is excited to welcome Faith Andrews as an administrative assistant. Faith was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and graduated from William Peace University last year with a degree in communications. She joins NC GreenPower most recently from Oxford University Press.
When the administrative assistant position opened up, it seemed like a great opportunity for Faith to further apply her skills and grow in a new role and field. One of her primary responsibilities will be to help coordinate NC GreenPower’s Solar Schools pilot program. Through Solar Schools, North Carolina K-12 schools can apply for a matching grant to receive a 3-5 kilowatt-hour (kWh) solar array and educational package that includes a weather station, real-time monitoring equipment, a curriculum and more.
Faith will also work closely with local renewable energy generators, who are individuals and companies providing renewable energy to the power grid. She will manage our generator program and send out incentive payments for each kWh of renewable energy that is supplied. Along with these tasks, Faith will help organize the quarterly NC GreenPower board meetings, perform other administrative duties and assist with marketing and communications efforts.
In her free time, Faith loves to go hiking. Some of her favorite spots include Lake Johnson Park and William B. Umstead State Park.
Faith’s background, experience and eagerness to learn make her a great addition to the Green Team, and they are excited to have her on board.
