Advanced Energy at Home
Through Advanced Energy at Home, we have been providing free homeowner guidance and consulting to North Carolinians since 2004 on behalf of our North Carolina utility members: Duke Energy, the North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation and Dominion Energy North Carolina.
Asheville Art Museum Reopening
We assisted the Asheville Art Museum as it reopened after shutting down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of this effort, we developed a white paper on considerations for safe reopening as well as a webinar that we delivered to ElectriCities public power members and their commercial and industrial customers.

Daimler Trucks North America ISO 50001 Certification
We assisted DTNA in achieving ISO 50001 certification at eight of its North American plants. “ISO 50001 certification at all of our North American truck sites is a great achievement, and I am proud of our team,” said Sandra Carter, corporate environmental manager, DTNA. “We now have a continual energy management system that provides the information we need to reduce our energy usage per truck produced. ISO 50001 helps us meet our corporate environmental and sustainability goals on a daily basis. We are thankful for the support of partner Duke Energy and consultant Advanced Energy.”
Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Assessment
We worked with a major employer in the Research Triangle to evaluate its workplace charging and help it plan for future electric vehicle growth. The assessment included projections on electric vehicle adoption within the company, charging station siting considerations and an overview of charging station providers and their functionality and benefits.
Electric Vehicle Utility Assessment Reports
We have worked with utilities to develop electric vehicle assessment reports that address specific electric vehicle goals and challenges. Our reports evaluate the market within a utility’s service territory and provide an overview of vehicles and charging infrastructure, key stakeholders and policies, load impact projections, program examples, best practices and opportunity areas to pursue.
We visit numerous industrial, commercial and institutional facilities each year to help them understand their energy use and identify energy performance improvement options. Our assessments can be focused on facility support equipment and process equipment and vary in complexity and detail depending on the client’s needs. In all cases, we work alongside our clients in their facility to discover and implement energy savings opportunities.
Motors and Drives Consulting
We offer multiple programs and opportunities to improve motor and drive efficiency, meet safety regulations, maintain quality assurance, validate performance and earn certifications.
Solar Feasibility Studies
We provide businesses with an unbiased and independent analysis to help evaluate the viability of pursuing a solar project. We work with our clients to evaluate the most important considerations, including economic, market, technical, financial and management feasibility.
NC GreenPower offers the ability for individuals and businesses to purchase local renewable energy certificates or carbon offsets to lessen the environmental impact of their electricity, travel emissions, events and more. We’ll work with you to determine the best product offering for your needs.
