A critical component to the success of SystemVision is our AmeriCorps staff members.
AmeriCorps engages over 80,000 men and women each year in intensive service to meet community needs in education, poverty, health, disaster relief, and other critical issues. AmeriCorps’ members serve with more than 2,000 non-profits, public agencies, and community organizations across the United States. We are lucky to have two AmeriCorps members support the SystemVision program as Home Energy Raters every year since 2005.
Jessica Nall is a proud graduate of Appalachian State University where she studied Multi-Disciplinary Anthropology with a focus in sustainable development and inter-cultural communications. Her interest in the relationship between applied anthropology, sustainable development and building science drew her to SystemVision. She hopes that this year as an AmeriCorps Member will help her achieve one of her ultimate goals: building sustainable communities in poverty stricken areas. She is thrilled and thankful for the opportunities, education and mentorship received thus far as a team member at Advanced Energy.
Amy Dzura was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and this past December graduated with a Masters of Architectural Studies in Sustainable Design from the University of Florida. She is delighted to work with the SystemVision program because it matches her principles of achieving more efficient, safe, comfortable homes for deserving residents.
