Program Design and Implementation
We partner with our clients through all stages of program design, from investigative research and planning to implementation, training and analysis. We have more than 40 years of experience in designing pilot and permanent programs, and we also manage our own. All of our programs are tailored to the audience our clients seek to serve. Furthermore, our classification as a nationally recognized certification program allows us to certify products and services.
We established NC GreenPower, at the direction of the North Carolina Utilities Commission, in 2003 to improve North Carolina’s environment by supporting renewable energy. The nonprofit also supports carbon offset projects and provides grants for educational solar PV installations at K-12 schools.
Our North Carolina statewide electric vehicle education program was created in 2011 to promote electric driving through education and outreach, consulting and resource development. Plug-in NC provides a collaborative opportunity for stakeholders to work together to ensure a seamless integration of electric vehicles into local communities.
Duke Energy Interconnection Commissioning
We lead Duke Energy’s PV Interconnection Commissioning program in its North Carolina and South Carolina territories.
ENERGY STAR HVAC Contractor Credentialing
Our HVAC contractor credentialing program launched in 2012 to help contractors become credentialed in the ENERGY STAR® program and support their growth and success with detailed job reviews, technical assistance, training and resources.
Advanced Energy at Home
Since 2004, we have been providing free homeowner guidance to North Carolinians through our Advanced Energy at Home program. This program offers advice on improving energy efficiency, comfort and indoor air quality in homes.
We partner with the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency to run SystemVision, the nation’s only affordable housing energy and comfort guarantee program.
We provide step-by-step support to help companies achieve 50001 Ready™ recognition, ISO 50001 certification and Superior Energy Performance 50001™ certification. We have provided consulting for dozens of companies to assist them on their 50001 journeys.
Proven Efficiency Verification
Proven Efficiency Verification is our quality assurance program for motor repair that mutually benefits motor repair purchasers and providers. Once a motor service center completes the program requirements, it is entitled to use our AE Certification Trademark.
EASA Accreditation Program
The Electrical Apparatus Service Association launched its accreditation program in 2014 for the motor repair industry. With our experience in electric motor repair, we were selected as a third-party auditor for the program.
Motor Efficiency Certification Program
We achieved program recognition from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as a nationally recognized third party for motor efficiency in 2018. Two motor manufacturers are using our Energy Efficiency Verification Services now to achieve and maintain compliance with motor efficiency regulations.
