Helping Our North Carolina Communities

About 1 in 3 North Carolinians lives below 200% of federal poverty guidelines, and many spend so much of their income on energy that they lack sufficient resources for food, health care, child care and other necessities. We provide energy efficiency improvements that make it easier for these individuals to keep the lights on and remain comfortable at home.
Younger generations need opportunities to participate in the energy transition and to appreciate the huge range of career possibilities available in the industry — but they require supportive learning environments. We provide K–12 schools with energy efficiency upgrades, solar arrays, instructor training and educational materials to enhance the classroom experience of North Carolina students around energy topics.
