Advanced Energy Attends SEEA & AESP Conference
Advanced Energy is excited to attend the 2017 SEEA & AESP Southeast Conference, which is being held in Atlanta, Georgia, from Oct. 16-18, 2017.
The theme of this year’s event is “Transform,” and the schedule emphasizes this idea, focusing on the current and future states of energy efficiency in the southeastern United States. Decision-makers, policymakers, utility representatives, vendors, researchers and more will convene to network, share ideas, examine solutions and learn from each other.
“The conference represents a great opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest energy initiatives in the Southeast,” noted Brian Coble, senior vice president of Advanced Energy and SEEA board member.
Michael (Mike) Stowe, senior energy engineer, will be presenting at the conference as part of a panel about 50001 Ready, the U.S. Department of Energy’s new tool to help facilities engage in and work toward energy management. 50001 Ready is built around the ISO 50001 energy management standard, which prepares industrial, commercial and institutional organizations to continuously improve their energy usage through holistic and systematic practices. With 50001 Ready, facilities have a do-it-yourself way to develop an energy management system and receive recognition for their achievement.
The session, titled “ISO 50001 Ready: Building a Culture of Continuous Energy Improvement,” will occur on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. It will highlight the value of 50001 Ready, the role utilities and implementers can play, real-world benefits from an industrial facility, and opportunities for the Southeast.
We look forward to seeing you at the conference!
