Advanced Energy Welcomes Claudia Powell as New Project Manager

Advanced Energy welcomes Claudia Powell as a new project manager.
She comes to Advanced Energy from NC State University’s Facilities Division, where she served as an energy program coordinator to help identify and implement cost-effective demand-side management projects and programs at the university.

Claudia is looking forward to her new role and sees it as a fresh challenge in her professional career. “I am excited to join the Advanced Energy project management team. I’m honored to be selected for the position and am eager to get started,” she said.

Claudia graduated from NC State with a degree in business management and a concentration in finance, along with a minor in environmental toxicology. After graduation, she worked at the NC Department of Environmental Quality as an environmental program coordinator, providing technical assistance on pollution prevention to industrial, commercial, and institutional clients.

As one of Advanced Energy’s project managers, Claudia is taking the lead on a number of assignments that focus on industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. For example, one of her projects involves working with Duke Energy Progress (DEP) to help a water utility develop and implement strategic energy management plans, which will then be discussed in a report outlining the benefits and costs of implementation. Another project, also for DEP, consists of producing marketing materials to educate customers on ways to save energy and financial incentives that they can use to help cut energy usage.

Claudia brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in business and energy conservation practices that make her a great fit to tackle the challenges facing the energy industry, and enhance the project management team and Advanced Energy as a whole.
