Advanced Energy Welcomes Emily Ernst Lunne as Director of Finance and Human Resources
Advanced Energy is thrilled to welcome Emily Ernst Lunne as its first director of finance and human resources. Emily was born and raised in Wyoming and went on to attend the University of Wyoming, where she studied English and accounting.
Emily joins Advanced Energy with a wealth of experience. She most recently worked as the director of finance and human resources at Carolina Friends School in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to that, she served as chief operations officer and director of finance at the Tucson Hebrew Academy in Arizona, director of finance and administration at the Maine Technology Institute, and principal financial officer at the Portland Police Department, also in Maine. Across these roles, she enjoyed blending aspects of accounting, human resources and administration, as well as coordinating and interacting with people.
Emily heard about the opening at Advanced Energy from a friend, and it seemed like a great fit. For one, she loves science and technology, and she also loves learning. Although parts of the job seemed to relate to areas she explored in her previous positions, much of the subject matter would be new. She was also excited to remain in a nonprofit environment.
As she just started last month, Emily is continuing to take everything in and learn how the pieces of Advanced Energy align. Ultimately, her goal is to work across the company to understand each team’s needs and how she can help meet them using the systems in place. At a broader level, she’ll be supporting Advanced Energy’s mission and vision by supporting its staff and processes.
In her spare time, Emily can be found hanging out with her husband, kids and their three dogs. She also enjoys movies, music and museums; cooking and baking; and remodeling and home decorating — she is particularly good at tiling.
Emily’s background and work history make her an ideal match for Advanced Energy, and she is eager to use her experience to benefit the company.
