National Drive Electric Week

This September 10-18, 2016, the United States will celebrate National Drive Electric Week, sponsored by Plug In America, the Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association. The celebration, which started in 2011, helps spread awareness of the benefits of driving electric, including decreased emissions, fuel savings and enhanced performance. Reports show that electric vehicle sales jump the month following National Drive Electric Week!

Since we manage Plug-in NC, a statewide program to support electric vehicles, we love participating in National Drive Electric Week events. This year we are planning or participating in seven events and promoting all 13 that are occurring in North Carolina. The events are open to the public and provide an opportunity to learn about electric cars. You may even get a chance to take one for a spin.
