Advanced Energy Welcomes Alexis Giannattasio as a Marketing and Communications Specialist

Advanced Energy is excited to welcome Alexis Giannattasio as a marketing and communications specialist. Alexis studied media and journalism as well as music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and she is currently earning a certification in digital marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Alexis has always loved to write — rather than competing in athletics, she said, she competed in writing contests. She initially thought about pursuing investigative journalism but switched to public relations in college. After graduating, she worked as a marketing and communications specialist for the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. She had several responsibilities in addition to writing, including planning events and digital media campaigns and getting out in the community to serve patients.

This focus on community was one element that drew Alexis to Advanced Energy — although she doesn’t have a background in engineering or environmental studies, she cares deeply about making a positive impact at home in North Carolina, a place she’s lived her entire life.

In her new role, Alexis will primarily be providing marketing and communications support to Plug-in NC, Advanced Energy’s electric vehicle outreach and education program, and NC GreenPower, its renewable energy subsidiary. She’ll write articles and other content, assist with organizing events and engage with volunteers.

When Alexis isn’t working, you’ll find her exploring local parks (her favorite is Lake Benson in Garner), baking, playing her Nintendo Switch or piano, or singing, which she used to do professionally.

Alexis’s experience in marketing and her desire to make a difference in North Carolina are a great fit for Advanced Energy. The Plug-in NC and NC GreenPower teams are excited to have her help to grow their impact.
