Advanced Energy Welcomes Amy Berenson as an Administrative Assistant
Advanced Energy is excited to welcome Amy Berenson as an administrative assistant. Amy first joined the company last December as a temporary employee and recently accepted a permanent role. She has more than 25 years of experience as an executive assistant.

Amy was raised in Connecticut and western Massachusetts but moved to Florida during high school. She then settled in North Carolina a few years later. She thought about a few potential careers growing up — often based on what book she was reading at the time — including being a nurse, criminal defense attorney and chef.
After graduating from Meredith College, she went into food service management for several years before transitioning to a law firm. Amy considers herself quite fortunate to have had opportunities working in varied environments, providing assistance to educators, business leaders, government agencies and attorneys, including 14 years in North Carolina State Government.
In her role as an administrative assistant, Amy lends a hand wherever she can, whether it’s organizing events, planning meetings or doing some ad hoc filing. Lately, she has been supporting the residential team’s SystemVision program as well as a new project through NC GreenPower that is providing high-efficiency lighting replacements in elementary and middle schools.
Outside of work, Amy likes to volunteer at the Raleigh Little Theatre (she was even nominated for an acting award). She also enjoys swimming and is ready to get back into traveling.
Amy’s enthusiasm and her eagerness to help others make her a great fit for Advanced Energy, and we are excited to have her on board.
