Advanced Energy Welcomes Ben Mosley as a Motor Lab Coordinator
Advanced Energy is excited to welcome Ben Mosley as a motor lab coordinator. Ben was born and raised in Monroe, North Carolina, just outside Charlotte. He went on to attend NC State University, where he graduated in May with a degree in mechanical engineering and business.

Ben’s interest in engineering began taking shape in high school and stemmed from his enjoyment of math and physics. He chose mechanical engineering in particular because of its breadth and flexibility.
While at NC State, Ben participated in the university’s Cooperative Education Program. His position had him performing efficiency testing on power plants across the country. He heard about the Advanced Energy opening from his NC State roommate, Charlie Phillips. Charlie was previously a motor lab co-op and recently joined the company in a permanent role. He thought Ben would be a good fit, and Ben was drawn to the focus on electric motors and sustainability.
Although he started just a couple of weeks ago, Ben is already engaged in the day-to-day flow of the motor lab. He is primarily helping to handle, test and log motors while overseeing the co-op students that support the team.
Ben is also an avid disc golfer, so when he isn’t working, you’ll likely find him on a local course or, alternatively, hiking a North Carolina trail.
Advanced Energy’s motors and drives group is glad to have Ben on board, and he is looking forward to learning and adding his knowledge and experience to the team’s efforts.
