Advanced Energy Welcomes Ronnie Alford as Motor Lab Coordinator
Advanced Energy is excited to welcome Ronnie Alford as the new Motor Lab Coordinator. Ronnie grew up outside Raleigh, North Carolina, and attended Wake Technical Community College to study heating, ventilation and air conditioning engineering.
For the last two decades, Ronnie has spent most of his time with the Electrical Equipment Company. He started in a role focused on electrical distribution and later transitioned to working in the company’s motor service center. During this period, Ronnie got to know Advanced Energy and members of the motors and drives team, as his company often tested motors for Advanced Energy’s motor lab. Therefore, when Ronnie saw the open position, it looked like an excellent opportunity.
In his new role, Ronnie will support the day-to-day operations of Advanced Energy’s lab. He will help test motors and perform audits of motor repair facilities through the Electrical Apparatus Service Association’s (EASA’s) Accreditation program. Advanced Energy is sanctioned by EASA as a third-party auditor for this program, helping member service centers demonstrate their commitment to quality by achieving and maintaining accreditation.
When he’s not working, Ronnie enjoys spending time with his daughters and coaching softball.
Ronnie’s experience in the motor and drive industry and knowledge of Advanced Energy’s work make him a great fit for the team, and he is excited to get started.
