Advanced Energy Welcomes Sreeja Kasparaju as a Power Systems Co-op

Advanced Energy is excited to welcome Sreeja Kasparaju as a power systems co-op through NC State University’s Cooperative Education Program. Sreeja was born and raised in Hyderabad, India, and came to the U.S. in 2023 to begin her undergraduate studies.  She’s pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at NC State and expects to graduate in May 2028.

Sreeja started at NC State thinking she would major in computer science, but some freshman-year courses motivated her to transition to engineering. When she was exploring co-op opportunities, she liked Advanced Energy’s smaller size and focus on making renewable energy systems more reliable and accessible.

As part of our power systems transmission team, Sreeja is supporting a group responsible for verifying the reliability, performance and safety of solar facilities and other inverter-based resources. Since joining us, she’s been learning from team members and growing her knowledge of the various verification tasks, including power plant controller demonstrations, settings reviews and report writing. Sreeja will spend three rotations with Advanced Energy in all, gaining independence and additional responsibilities along the way.

When she’s not at school or work, Sreeja enjoys being outside, playing tennis and painting. She’s also part of a sailing club at NC State.
