Advanced Energy Welcomes Paul Liskey as an Associate Energy Consultant

Advanced Energy is delighted to welcome Paul Liskey as an associate energy consultant with our power systems team. Paul grew up in Vienna, Virginia, and went on to attend James Madison University, where he studied general engineering with minors in robotics, physics and math.

Paul previously worked as an operations engineer with ACT Power Services. He was tasked with monitoring and controlling distribution- and transmission-connected solar facilities, interfacing with the local electric utility, and dispatching technicians for any issues.

Seeing the opportunity at Advanced Energy, Paul was excited by the possibility of being on the other side of solar interconnection — helping to catch deficiencies before they become operational problems. And that’s just what he’ll be doing: inspecting and verifying inverter-based resources to ensure they comply with the required codes, standards and agreements. Ultimately, this service reduces risk and provides assurance that these facilities will perform as expected.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys woodworking, hanging out with his dog and building machines. He’s assembled a go-kart and minibike, and at James Madison, he converted a gas go-kart to run on electricity and got to compete in the Shell Eco-marathon.
